NerferWiki Projects
- Project:NerfHQ Detox - A project centered around updating, fixing, and improving content imported from the NerfHQ wiki.
- Project:New Nerfer Handbook - Project for the creation of a series of articles geared towards giving new nerfers the bare minimum information needed to attend a nerf war, and answer frequently asked newbie questions.
- Project:Make Magazine Article - Project for the collaborative creation of an article on Make Magazine to educate readers about the Nerf Community and promote Nerf as a sport/hobby.
- Project:Wikipedia Article - Project to develop articles about the nerf community for Wikipedia which are informative and compatible with Wikipedia guidelines.
Ways to Help
You can help the NerferWiki by doing the following:
- Read the Editor Guide and learn how to be a wiki editor.
- Create a page on the Special:WantedPages page. Note:These are pages which have been linked to, but do not exist. Their presence on the Wanted Pages page does not indicate that they are useful or necessary. If you find that a page on this list does not fit the NerferWiki:Goals, find the page linking to it and remove the link.
- Create a page on the NerferWiki:Requested Pages List.
- Participate in one of the projects on the projects list to the left.
- Find an article that Needs Improvement and contribute to it.
To-do List
This is a list of things that need to be done that don't fit into the projects and initiatives above:
- Update the Nerfer page to provide a definition.
- Update the Modification page to provide a definition.
- Overhaul the Nerf Wars page to define a nerf war and provide links to a guide on hosting a nerf war and how to attend one.
- Track down any articles on Blasters that aren't in the Category:Blasters, and add the Template:Blaster to them.
- Figure out a naming convention for moddifications like this one: Airtech Jet Squadron Modification Darkshrimp
- Find images and create templates for the following:
- The noob handbook
- Homemades
- Modifications
- Nerfers
- This article needs Cleanup
- This article has potential but needs more work
- This article needs verification
- This article needs photos/illustrations
- This article could be merged with...
- Add pages for different game types. These pages should be limited to types which have been repeatedly used at nerf wars organized through one of the major forums. See Requested Pages above before creating new pages please.
- Develop an outline for articles about nerf wars, venues for nerf wars, and groups of nerfers that doesn't conflict with features of ProjectNerf
- Add information about availability of nerf guns to pages about nerf guns. (Do we need this? see the Discussion Page for details. )
