Goals of the NerferWiki

As a daughter site of ProjectNerf, the NerferWiki shares the same goals.

1. To focus more on Nerfing and less on discussion.
2. To work in partnership with NerfHaven.
3. To put the power in the hands of the community.

The wiki fulfills the third goal by virtue of being a wiki. The second goal is fulfilled by virtue of the wiki being administrated by a mix of nerfers rather than exclusively by NHQ admins. The first goal will be fulfilled through the following initiatives:

1. This wiki is first and foremost a guide for new nerfers. All articles must present information which can be understood by new users who may not have attended a nerf war yet, and who are not interested in searching the forums.
2. All information presented on this wiki must have some application at an actual nerf war. Articles which do not qualify include but are not limited to:
   1. Articles about the history of the nerf community.
   2. Articles about 'nerf on the internet' which in no way facilitate the planning, hosting, or attendance of nerf wars (for example, articles describing proper behavior on nerf forums)
   3. Articles about specific nerfers, their achievements, and their nerf guns.
3. Articles should not provide information which is already available in a more complete or useful form through ProjectNerf features.
4. Articles should not serve a purpose which is already served by the nerf forums. The wiki is for proven facts and helpful advice, not discussion.
5. This wiki is not meant to be encyclopedic. All articles must be created and edited in the interest of making the wiki more useful, not more 'complete'.
